An organism may be made up of a single cell or many cells working together. This is why scientists think of cells as the basic units of life. To stay alive, cells need a constant supply of energy and molecules for chemical reactions, and they need to get rid of waste.

Is the cellular level. The cell is the basic and smallest unit capable of reproduction. Cells vary greatly in structure and function, based on the type of organism, but all cells contain genetic information (DNA or RNA) and organelles.

What is aging on a cellular level?
All cells experience changes with aging. They become larger and are less able to divide and multiply. Among other changes, there is an increase in pigments and fatty substances inside the cell (lipids). Many cells lose their ability to function, or they begin to function abnormally.
Right now as you see societies get more and more affluent .
They start eating worse food .
Very sophisticated cities eating such low nutrition food.
everyone trying to follow in the western culture.
What they are using and eating today .
They are using packaged food.
Dairy products soft drink and hard drinks,pizza burger and
and restaurant food,
The restaurant food is very greasy and spicy.It is made edible by adding chemicals and spices to it.It has very little nutritional value.
Have dinner in a nice restaurant today.
Next morning in the bathroom you will know what you had for dinner.
In Vedic culture, food is divided into three parts.
As Satava, Rajas and Tamas
Tamas means inertia ,
If you eat anything which has Tamas,Inertia will come in your system. Inertia does not mean you become lazy.
Inertia mean certain things slow down. Certain things means essential regeneration of system slows down.
Today you know that neuronal regeneration is one of the most important aspect of keeping your brain reasonably functional through out your life. If you are consuming food which are Tamas or causes inertia in the general function of your system in the energetic process of who you are,Then you see the cognition level will slowly go down over a period of time.
Because everybody understands this .
This is why they are drinking cups cococola ,coffee and alchohol or something else. Because they know they need to balance that.so this kind of balance is very rudimentary way of balancing your system.
That you putting wrong things,Then you are trying to correct it with right things,
The most effluent population on the earth ,This means they have a whole choice of nourishment ,They can eat the best food, what they will eat worse food because .........
Commercial forces will decide,
What you eat,you cannot eat Consciously anymore.

If everything becomes fresh food ,In vedic culture ,if you cook something it is in one and half hour means 90 minutesBefore that you should have eaten that food,
If you create sufficient OJAS.
Which is known physical dimension of energy .If every cell of your body is wrapped in this,Believe that your ageing process will not progress. Your cellular age will almost remain stagnant for a long period of time.
This is not some miracle,every human being is capable of this,with some simple attention .
1...Keep legs crossed while eating
2...Eat food within 1.5 hours of cooking it.
3...Avoid mixing non veg and diary products.
4...Use neem and turmeric in empty stomach in the morning, This will be very helpful in cleaning your colon.
