Hoarseness is a condition marked by changes in the pitch or quality of the voice, which may sound weak, scratchy or husky. Hoarseness can be caused by misuse or overuse of the voice, viruses, and growths on the vocal cords like cysts, papillomas, polyps and nodules, among other things.
Pain or irritation in the throat that can occur with or without swallowing, often accompanies infections, such as a cold or flu.
Laryngitis is inflammation of the voice box (larynx). This organ sits in your upper neck just past the back of your throat. Swelling of the vocal cords muffles sound, and you are hoarse.
What causes chronic hoarseness? .....
• Overusing your voice, which is most common in individuals who use their voices professionally (performing artists, teachers, salespersons and speakers)
• Persistent bacterial or viral infection.
• Polyps, cysts or nodules on your vocal cords.
• Vocal cord paralysis.
Can thyroid cause hoarse voice and mucus in throat?
Hypothyroidism is a condition where the thyroid gland is underactive and does not produce enough thyroid hormones. Hypothyroidism can cause local inflammation and pressure. Because the larynx is very close to the thyroid gland, the pressure or inflammation may affect the larynx, causing hoarseness of the voice

Gargling by Methi Dana water
1..Fenugreek seeds.Methi Dana One teaspoon .
2..Sendha Salt Half teaspoon.
3..Turmeric powder Half teaspoon
How to make gargling water? .....
Two teaspoon methi Dana Boil in a glass of water,when there is half a glass left,
Mix half a teaspoon of Sendha salt.
Mix Half teaspoon turmeric powder.
Filter it.And let it cool down a bit.Gargle with this lukewarm water.
Do Gargling before sleeping at night.and in the morning too
The problem of hoarseness will end.
