Leucorrhoea, also known as Likoria, is a medical condition in which women experience the presence of yellowish or whitish vaginal discharge. This discharge generally has a thick consistency.



CAUSES OF LEUKORRHEA

The most common causes of leucorrhoea are pregnancy, premenstrual or menstrual periods, infection of female genital organs and hormonal irregularities.


    NORMAL CONDITIONS

Vaginal discharge (medically known as leukorrhea), refers to the natural secretions that are released from a woman's vagina. These secretions are responsible for lubrication and the prevention of infection.

Vaginal discharge is healthy if it's clear, milky white or off-white.


SIDE EFFECTS   OF   LEUKORRHEA

Dark yellow, brown, green or grey discharge may indicate an infection or other issue. Smell: Vaginal discharge may have an odor, but it shouldn't be strong and shouldn't be unpleasant.

With an increased white discharge from the body, a woman can experience weakness. In some cases, leucorrhoea can also be accompanied by other symptoms such as abdominal or lower back pain, constipation, headaches, menstrual cramps and frequent urination.

If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications like pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.


   NORMAL  CONDITIONS

It is clear or white and has no odor. It is normal for your body to produce a small amount (about a teaspoon) each day. During the middle of your menstrual cycle (when eggs are released during ovulation) you may notice that the discharge becomes thinner and stretchy, like the whites of an egg. 


AYURVEDIC REMEDIES

1...You can drink rice starch (water in which rice is boiled) regularly to eradicate the problem of white discharge. The starch from the rice is highly preferable when you are constantly suffering from the problem of white discharge.



2... Walnut leaves

           ******  


   One of the home remedies for likoria is the use of walnut. Walnut leaves have astringent properties, which are helpful in getting rid of infections and treating leucorrhoea. A mix made by soaking the leaves in water and boiling for around twenty minutes. This can be strained and used in genital areas.


3....Amla powder 1 teaspoon.

       Pure Honey 1 teaspoon.

        Mix together and eat it every morning and night.


4....Shatavari powder

        1 teaspoon. 

         Mix with 250gram 

          Deshi cow milk.

Warm it and drink it before going to bed at night.
