According to most research, SLS is an irritant and carcinogen. Studies have shown  link between the use of SLS and increased cancer risk.

These include reduced lung function, aggravated asthmatic symptoms, and increased risk of emergency department visits, hospitalizations, and death in people who have chronic heart or lung diseases.


Toothpaste banned in India

Consumer protection regulator CCPA has passed an order against GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare Ltd directing it to discontinue advertisements of Sensodyne products in India for flouting norms.

It is banned in Japan because it contains Triclosan.


The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered it as a dangerous pesticide. The EPA gives triclosan high scores both as a human health risk and as an environmental risk. silica as a whitener which damages tooth enamelsodium fluoride used to create foam is a rat poison.


The CCPA, headed by Nidhi Khare, "recently passed order against misleading advertisements of Sensodyne products which make the claims 'Recommended by dentists worldwide' and 'World's No 1 sensitivity toothpaste,
